What is Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)?

Software-as-a-service (or SaaS) is a way of delivering applications over the Internet as a service. Instead of installing and maintaining software, you simply access it via the Internet, freeing your organization from complex software and hardware management.  SaaS applications are sometimes called Web-based software, on-demand software, pay-as-you-go software or hosted software.  Whatever the name, Soteria Risk provides the SaaS application ERMView which runs on highly secure data center’s servers. Soteria Risk uses state of the art software technology to manage access to the application, including security, availability, and performance.

SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) Advantages

Historically, companies were required to buy, build, and maintain their IT infrastructures despite escalating costs. SaaS gives companies an alternative. Now, they can plug in and subscribe to services built on shared infrastructure via the Internet.

Here is what's driving customers of all sizes and types to take advantage of Soteria Risk's SaaS solutions:

ERMView

In technical terms, ERMView is a cloud based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) running on a custom designed Office365 SharePoint environment. The portal platform is hosted by one of the largest SharePoint cloud hosting provider in the world.  Our cloud based solution provides for large scalability, custom client site configuration and stronger IT security than is found in most organizations. Below are screenshots from our demo site.

Our ERMView   system is specifically designed to help organizations do three things:

Communicate –There are no silos in cloud.  Every person who needs to view information or interact with other members of the risk team can do so through this platform which interacts directly with programs like Outlook.  In addition, senior management and board members now have a way to quickly and easily stay completely up to date with the Enterprise Risk Management efforts in the organization.

Collaborate – Whether collaborating internally or with external business partners, the ERMView allows both internal risk team members and external partners to login into the site from any internet browser and work together to achieve ERM objectives.  Logins and passwords dictate what any given user can see to external partners can see only those areas they are responsible for.

Curate – In many organizations, it can be difficult to track all the information associated with every aspect of an ERM program.  For instance, if asked to produce a General Liability policy from 6 years ago, many organizations might say they might need some time to do that.  Now organizations can keep all this data safely organized and curated in the cloud and all parties, as appropriate, can help to put this critical information in the system.

Please let us provide you with a demonstration of this system to better understand the potential benefits to your organization.
